In years 7 to 9, students are taught maths based on the Ian Lowe numeracy program involving hands-on activities.
Students also participate with the integration unit of work with other subjects, as follows:
Year 7 - All about me - How does numeracy affect me?
Year 8 - Importantce of Water - Statistical data.
Year 9 - Environment - involving statistical data.
In Year 10 students study 2 semesters of Mathematics. The course of study includes all strands of Mathematics. The Year 10 Mathematics courses are intended to prepare students for various studies of Mathematics at VCE. Students may choose from Mathematics or Math Methods.
