Managed Individual Pathways (MIPS)
A key program at Year 10, MIPs is a semester long unit designed to help all students identify their personal strengths and weaknesses. In this way, students are able to realistically make informed decisions about their course and subject selections for Years 11 and 12.
Students also work through a state of the art computer program called “Career Builder”. By responding to a series of questions, students are matched to a range of vocations and jobs to which they are best suited and are then able to identify the subjects and courses which would enable them to qualify for those vocations.
The range of Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) , Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) options available to the students of Lalor North Secondary College enables all students a pathway to a successful future.
