This subject is suitable for students as an introduction to Drama or for those who have participated in Drama classes in lower levels. It provides a foundation for VCE Drama/Theatre studies and develops stage craft and performance skills. Content includes mime, movement, voice, improvisation, scripted and non-scripted material, performance and theatrical modes. Lighting, sound, and prop skills will also be covered. The influence of cultural and historical contexts on Drama will be investigated, including Comedia Del Arte, Greek, and Elizabethan. Special Requirements: Willingness to participate and perform to an audience.
