Students at Lalor North Secondary College have the opportunity to learn a language other than English in order to provide them with relevant and useful skills required in our global world.
The LOTE programs at Lalor North Secondary College enable students to:
• develop communication skills(listening, speaking, reading and writing) in the language studied
• reinforce their literacy skills
• increase their intercultural awareness
In 2009 Italian is the LOTE offered from Year 7 to Year 10 with the possibility of extending the study of Italian to the VCE level in 2010 and 2011.
